THE GIVING SEASON

December has arrived and that makes it the "Giving Season."  So in honor of this, we are having a give away.  We decided to make an apron pattern this fall, and it was a hit at market.  "MRS. ROBINSON"  is our first apron pattern and we had a lot of fun with it.
The apron has all kinds of fun touches.  First, it is REVERSIBLE.  At market, Janice wore one side out and I wore the other side.  We constantly were demonstrating "our other half."  Janice also decided that the apron would come in very handy; you cook with one side of the apron on, which will more than likely get a little dirty.  And, when you are done cooking, just reverse the apron to serve your food.

The next fun touch is the front panel.  32 small strips of fabric run from top to bottom.  Then,  choose a great print to finish it out.  On the back of the apron, the print runs down the center, and the coordinating fabrics are used as horizontal stripes.

We also included optional pockets in the pattern, placed in different places on each side.  Janice loves pockets, I just haven't figured out what she puts in them.

The apron can be made in all kinds of fabrics for all kinds of occasions.  And as I said, it is the giving season, and WE ARE GIVING.  We made a special Christmas version of "Mrs. Robinson" which was worn and displayed in  the Moda Bake Shop during market and we are giving that apron away. (apologies for the pictures, i used my phone)

Here are a couple more shots of the apron with my friend Jonie, who owns one of my favorite quilt shops, QUILTER'S HAVEN in Bountiful, Utah.  She agreed to be my model.

So here's the deal.

One winner will win this "finished" apron and a pattern for the apron so she can make some to give away.  We will also give away three more patterns, those winners can choose which of the new patterns they would like.

Here's what you do, head on over to the website, www.abbeylanequilts.com, and check out the 10 new patterns we just debuted.  (they all have a little sticker saying NEW.)  Then, remember, a point for each thing done below,

1.  Leave us a comment telling us which one of those new patterns is your favorite NEW PATTERN.

2.  Become a follower of our blog, or let us know you already are.

3.  Mention us on your blog, if you have one.

4.  Become our friend on facebook, Abbey Lane Quilts.

5.  Share the giveaway on facebook.

That's it, we will choose the lucky winner next Sunday.  Gook luck.

Janice and Marcea
